Through Lara's Lens a professional photographer by experience .Lara has have been in the field of photography for over ten years, starting in Nashville at a young age photographing in the media pit of the CMA festivals, Lara has also worked behind the scenes of multiply independent films and is willing to collaborate with any director, novelist, or screen writer with small film casting. Lara's favorite artistic lighting style is over exposure though she doesn't use it often unless the shoot is meant for it. Lara is currently shooting with the Cannon Rebel XSi and recently acquired a fish eye lens to better equip herself for group shoots. Lara prides herself in being an Eco-Friendly photographer meaning she does everything digitally (no matter how much she loves the dark room) to save the wasted photo paper on frames that clients don't want. Lara gives a flash drive (paid for through minimum compensation) with the photographs edited and intact in printable sizes OR if you agree to TF she will send images via email so no compensation is involved. Lara does not photograph nudes and will not photograph anyone in anything less than a swim suit.
Lara does focus more on photographing males though she enjoys the art of any model and any subject. She does, however, identify as a male model photographer.
Why males? Lara finds that male models are not only easier to work with but are also open to concepts and unafraid to break artistic boundaries as well as work with her to create the best shots rather than working against her. Photographing the male body is interesting to Lara and she finds it far more beautiful of that of a female model and enjoy the lack of limitations that a male model provides. Some of her favorite professional male models include but are not limited to Andrej Peic, Josh Beech, Ian Mellencamp, Paul Boche, Bartek Borowiec, Mihael Tntiuc, Ethan James, Marcel Castenmiller, Oskar Tranum, John Cherkas, and Tomek Szczukiecki.
Lara has worked with a variety of local male models building their portfolios and at this time she is open for doing TF shoots for male models and group shoots only.
Group shoots must follow Lara's idea frames. If you would like to be included in group shoots please feel free to contact Lara and she will find the characters right for you. Through Lara's Lens focuses on gothic story telling and recreating fairy tales. At this time Through Lara's Lens is finishing up gothic recreations of "Frankenstein: A Monster's Love" and "Hansel & Gretel" as well as a "Nautical Series" involving a male and female sailor. Through Lara's Lens is searching for female models to pose in the "Nautical Series"(dress size small).
Lara's rate for all others is $30 per hour. Lara does not give out RAW photos; this includes all copies of all photos taken. If she doesn't like it, you are not getting it. Lara will choose the images she likes the best to enhance and copyright the images before she emails them to you. Models Lara works with get between 5 and 10 images (some get many more if they have worked together more than once). Lara does NOT give the model permission to alter, edit, deface, manipulate, or crop my images, however, Lara does give them rights to use them the way they are given to them. All emailed files are in 8x10 size unless otherwise requested prior to editing. It takes from three weeks to a month to edit some photographs and it will take longer if you are constantly bugging the photographer or team about your images. Lara takes pride in her work but also has a lot on her plate at all times. If you are not patient you probably shouldn't work with Through Lara's Lens but she does deliver the best quality images that she can over the allotted time. Lara does not tolerate nagging from TF shoot models and is not above scrapping shoots if you are to persistent about receiving your photographs if she has told you that he has paid sessions in editing. Paid shoots are top priority.
If you would like to book with Through Lara's Lens please let them know and they will see what they can work out for you. If you would like for Through Lara's Lens to travel more than an hour out of Greensboro they would like to have their rates met but don't hesitate to request a TF shoot if you are in VA, NC, SC, or TN and we might be able to work something out.
