Fostering Hope in Your Local Community
Heroes Helping Heroes focuses on support and empowerment for Orphans and Vulnerable Children(OVC) in the United States.
Heroes Helping Heroes raises funds to provide a free, safe, and faith based summer camp and monthly mentorship program to boys & girls who are adopted, in foster care, or considered at risk.
Living in many of our very own communities are children who need help. Heroes Helping Heroes works with local agencies to identify these children so that we can enroll them in our program and invite them to become part of the Heroes Helping Heroes family.
Planting "Seeds of Hope" in the Hearts and Minds of our Youth.
As of July 2015, our team has served over 366 individual Stokes, Surry, Forsyth, Yadkin and surrounding county children at no cost with its services and programs which consist of our monthly mentorship program and the annual “Seeds of Hope” summer day camp.
Staff and Volunteers are comprised of many active youth and adult leaders from area churches, allowing the children served to identify with positive and relate-able role models.
Nurturing children’s spiritual, physical, and emotional growth through an annual no-cost summer camp in North Carolina.
Heroes Helping Heroes Communities (HHHC) serves children with its “Seeds of Hope” programs who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade and are: 1) in the foster care system; 2) adopted; or 3) identified as “at-risk”. To date, HHHC has served over 366 unique children in Stokes, Forsyth, Surry, Yadkin, and surrounding counties.
HHHC volunteer staff is comprised of both youth (completed 9th grade and above) and adult leaders from area churches and communities served. There is a major emphasis on allowing youth to serve as positive and relatable role models. Consequently, these programs have proven to be a rich training ground for rising youth leaders. In fact, it is our further joy and delight to see many campers who are aging out of the programs return to serve as youth leaders.
