Emerging smaller congregation that deeply cares for each other, while reaching out to Forsyth County and Kenya. We have recently called our new pastor, Kyle Caudle. The future hasn't looked brighter! Come join us!
Small but mighty! Our little church is making big changes in the community.
Our pastor is different. He is a blend of good humor mixed with serious scholarship and a generous sprinkling of caring. He has been known to set aside countless hours during the week to listen and care for individuals and families in crisis. This devotion may sound normal for a pastor – but Steve is exceptional. He is bi-vocational, with considerable responsibility as the director of sales and marketing for a regional window manufacturer. Community Church, however, comes first in his professional life.
His sermons are never boring, and he has a reputation for doing unexpected things to illustrate a point or keep our attention. He strives, he tells us, to keep the Big Idea of the Day not only relevant to the world around us, but to be a means of applying the timeless word of God to our lives.
His teaching method has allowed many of us to grow in our faith. Many of us have applied the lessons of Extreme Bible Study on Wednesday evenings or Sunday mornings to our larger lives later in the week. He is not afraid to address difficult questions and, if he does not know the answer, will spend the necessary time in research to respond.
He is married to Louise, a teacher in her own right, and they have six children in their blended family and share seven grandchildren.
Steve’s openness to new ideas while standing firm on principles is partially rooted in his education. Degrees from Southeastern Christian College, Georgetown College, and Houston Graduate School of Theology have helped shape the mind of our pastor. He loves to read, and is always adding more knowledge and information to his mind. We are often the recipients of the fresh perspective that comes only to open minds, based on the rich principles of God’s word.
